After seventy years of fighting for the right to vote in New York state, women finally won that right on November 6, 1917. An exhibit on loan from the Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC) features material related to the women’s suffrage movement’s efforts to secure women’s right to vote in New York state, including images of posters, pamphlets, signs, and postcards. The exhibit is on display in the Melville Library’s Central Reading Room from March 2 -30, 2023.
