Materials & CirculationBorrowing InformationLoan period: End of currently enrolled semester Undergraduate students Maximum number of items out: 50 items Course ReservesTo borrow items on Course Reserves, students must show their current SBU ID card at the circulation desk in the library where the material is housed. Resource SharingIncludes Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery. Requests for both are placed online, through ILLiad.
Locating MaterialsStony Brook University Libraries uses the Library of Congress classification system. The Health Sciences Library uses the National Library of Medicine classification. HoldsA hold can be placed on an item that is due within two weeks. A hold allows the item to be held at the Circulation desk for the requesting patron. Holds cannot be placed on Reserve material. RecallsAll material (except audio-visual material or items on Reserve) can be recalled. Recommend a Library ResourceWe welcome suggestions for new resources from Stony Brook faculty, students, and staff. Recommendations will be shared with the liaison librarian for your subject area. |
