Stony Brook University Library staff members gathered in the Health Sciences Library for an Open House at 2 pm on Thursday, July 30. HSL librarians demonstrated new mobile technology, purchased through a Technology Achievement Award from the National Network of the Libraries of Medicine, Mid-Atlantic Region. This award provides HSL librarians with technology to facilitate outreach activities with Stony Brook Hospital, the Long Island Veterans Home and other community members.Health Sciences Library visitors took a tour of the library and watched a demo of some of the medical apps that HSL librarians use in their work. Many thanks to all who helped set up for this event as well as those who attended.
